Kate's Top 10 "Stayin' Home Sick Ain't Easy" TV Shows
After more than a week (!!!) at home with the flu, I have compiled the all time greatest TV shows to get you through the inevitable time some of you will face at home. Please note, the Mercedes of all cable packages is essential for a full experience/recovery.
- CSI (CBS) – This is when On Demand really comes in handy. I’ve watched at least 20 episodes of CSI, CSI: Miami and CSI: NY
- NCIS (CBS) – I never even gave it a chance until yesterday and now I’m looking into joining the “Naval Criminal Investigative Service” myself.
- The Office (NBC and TBS) – Duh. (Note: On Demand charges for all NBC shows. As if!)
- Law & Order (USA, NBC, TNT, etc.) – Double duh.
- Life After People (History Channel) – Due to creepy factor, this show didn’t make the top spot. However, it was definitely the most fascinating.
- Millionaire Matchmaker (BRAVO) – Patti isn’t f’ing around.
- Make Me a Super Model (BRAVO) – WAY better than America’s Next Top Model, mainly because of the co-ed competition, of course.
- Classroom: The Presidents (History Channel) – Not that I needed a refresher on the Presidents: 1945 – Present.
- The Universe: Secrets of the Sun (History Channel) – My IQ went up at least a point. Watch out.
- Lock Up (MSNBC) – Strangely captivating.

Does this lipstick make my lips look fat? Good.
Last week, just before succumbing to the nasty flu, I went to the most amazing party for the grand opening of Colorlab Cosmetics on Armitage. I had so much fun sipping on she-she cocktails, mingling with the cute Colorlab girls and most importantly, getting a much-needed makeover.
What’s fun about Colorlab is the “foundation” (no pun intended) of the company. “Inventors” custom blend lipsticks, glosses, foundations, blushes and eye shadows to perfection, with limitless combinations of turn-on colors and miracle working minerals.

So, what did I wind up with? Exactly as requested – a matt, lip plumping, vanilla-scented, long-lasting hue of pale rose (with gold specs) – all wrapped up in a cute blue tube, including my own personal label. If you’re in the neighborhood, or at their counter at Macy's on State, you must stop by!

Another Missed Opportunity
I love this Mike & Chris dress and wish I would have spotted it before I left for Vegas. What's more, it has pockets AND it's on sale!

Top That!!!
"Teen Witch" is one of my all time favorite 80's movies and frankly, it has not received the credit it deserves from all of you. Louise was once my idol (this is not a joke) and there was also a time when I could "rap" along with Polly to "Top That" without missing a beat. Of course, the “I Like Boys” ballad was just as near and dear to my heart, but why limit myself to one favorite.

Who's With Me???
Kanye, Rihanna, N.E.R.D., Lupe Fiasco. BTW, am I getting old? I didn't know who Lupe Fiasco was until last week, but his Web site is superstar-sweet and he's from Chicago!
