More than a Pump

As you all know, I don't wear heels. However, I would be willing to stand a little bit taller for these sophisticated, yet sexy pumps by Rupert Sanderson.

Hot or Not?

Am I crazy, or are these Steven Alan panties (sorry to those who hate that word) precious? While I wouldn't recommend pairing these with your tightest jeans, I think they’re perfect for lounging around on a Sunday afternoon.

Oui, Oui!

French was certainly not my best subject in school, but that doesn't stop me from feening for this simple Dior ring.

No Cell Phones Needed

Last weekend, I visited the quaintest little town in upstate NY and must share the love. Among many highlights, indulging in the most delectable sticky buns at the Bottle Tree Grocery and Cafe in Ancram was a perfect departure from the hectic life we're all accustom.

In Copake, no cell phones or TVs were needed, as we spent our lazy days reading the NYT, driving through the "country" and touring some of the most fabulous homes featured in Domino, House & Garden and the like.

The Fashionista Diaries

At last - a reality show that speaks my language. Fall Fashion Week and back-stabbing in the heart of NYC!

The Fashionista Diaries follows six fashion assistants as they vie for fashion, beauty and publishing jobs at Flirt Cosmetics, Seventh House PR and Jane magazine (August is last date in print :( and rumor has it, the announcement in mid-July makes for a juicy episode).

Starts Wednesday, Aug. 1st on SOAPnet. Check your local listings. (Did I just say that?).

B is for Brennan

If your first or last name starts with a "B," you really must own one of Biba's beautiful bags, right? Right.

Walk It Out, Fabulously

Timeless choreography + "Walk it Out" greatness = a captivating and hilarious tribute to Gwen Verdon and Bob Fosse. For maximum appreciation, watch the original version by clicking here.

The Good, The Bad and The Beautiful

It's that time of year again. Glamorama is upon us and country is our theme. Think Nashville meets South Beach or rodeo meets Rodeo Drive. So, strap on your stilettos (or lace up your chaps) and join me and my good friends Gretchen Wilson, Big & Rich and Cowboy Troy for my favorite night of the year.

The Ultimate Aphrodisiac

Last weekend, I was introduced to Kiehl's Coriander oil, an instant aphrodisiac and intoxicating scent for men and women...grr! Just beware, it lasts forever (and ever). And, yes, Mags, it really works!

Starbucks Passion

A Starbucks beverage for under $3? Yes, it does exist. Perhaps the most refreshing, tasty and tantalizing shaken, not stirred concoction at Starbucks, the Orange Passion Iced Tea & Lemonade is my must-have every single morning.

I prefer it unsweetened, therefore, minus the "orange" and extra calories.

J'adore Pucci Tap Pants

My new obsession (as if I need another) - Vintage Tap Pants, especially these hotties from Pucci, circa. 1970.

Summer Fresh Scents

So fresh and so clean, kai body lotion is made with natural oils and extracts and one of my favorite delicate daytime scents.

For a robust and fruity scent, The Body Shop Fuzzy Peach Perfume Oil is always fun for a summer evening soiree.

Bow-eautiful

Need, want and MUST have this Knotia Damask Bow Dress for my next garden party. Oh wait, I live in the city and have no invites to a garden party. Pool party anyone?

Lucky Me

Always the only child, I adore this 14k gold "Lucky Half" wishbone pendant. I win, I win!

The Chair Off

The quest for the perfect accent chair has led me to the proverbial crossroad of cheap vs. chic. $350 Ikea Chair (left) vs. $2,500 Anthropologie Chair (right). Is it even a question? Who's up for a road trip to Schaumburg (slash has a car)?

Bye, Bye Frizzies

Davines MOMO keeps my 'do frizz-free, moisturized and protected in the humid Chicago heat. Thank you for tamimg my tousled tresses!

Look, Muffy, a Book for Us

Ahh, “The Official Preppy Handbook,” a step-by-step guide to bringing out your inner prep. Go ahead, choose your preppy nickname, coif your bob “just so,” slide on your top-siders, mix a Bloody Mary and page through this American classic, one madras-clad page at a time.

Perhaps the modern-day version of "The Official Preppy Handbook" is "A Privileged Life: Celebrating WASP Style," highlighting all things pink and green, leisure-class and east coast chic.

Hot Feet

After a long day at work, on the beach or for no reason at all, L'Occitane Exfoliating Foot Care is the best thing for dry, tired feet. Follow it up with a healthy slathering of Shea Butter and you'll be sandal-ready in no time...Speaking of, how sublime are these Jean-Michel Cazabat's?

Welcome Aboard

After much trepidation, I finally walked through the doors of the much-talked-about and highly revered travel boutique – Flight 001. Self described as the “Jet-setters dream,” you can truly discover the best finds for trips overseas, to North Ave Beach and everything in-between.

No matter your budget or intentions, after a quick peruse online or in-store, you’ll surely make it a first stop for all travel and gifting needs. And, their nifty silver shopping bags are practical and fab!

Make sure you ask for uber sweet salesman Jared when you’re there – he’s the man for your flight plan.

A travel "need," I heart the Comme des Garcons flat wallet in emerald green.
