Help the Economy: Shop Online Today!

Yes, Black Friday sales were up 3% from last year, but that momentum is quickly slowing, so get those fingers ready...and shop online today for Cyber Monday.

The best deals will be on electronics, especially at Best Buy, Circuit City, WalMart and Amazon. If you're looking for apparel and accessories, try my favorites: Net A Porter, Piperlime, Bluefly and Lands' End (the best for parents' gifts).

And don't forget to help the little guy on Etsy, a hub for handmade wonders, or even better, a local boutique (online and offline).

As Discussed...

Back in July '07, my very first Kate's Faves post featured a lovely birthday present from my dear friend, Robert. It just so happens that it's the same Comme des Garçons wallet featured in this year's New York Times Holiday Gift Guide. Thanks for making me hip Robby!

Even better, the flannel version of these Steven Alan bloomers also made the list.

A Few Things You Should Know About Cleveland

1. Cleveland rocks.

2. It's no longer the mistake on the lake.

3. Michael Ruhlman, cookbook author, former NYT reporter and Iron Chef judge who is pretty much a really big deal in the culinary world, named Cleveland as the hottest dining city in America. Well, something like that, in this Chicago Tribune article. Lola and Lolita are amongst the hottest in town, both owned by renowned Food Network star Michael Symon.

4. Hands down, the most fabulous spa I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing is seconds away from my mom's house in Aurora. In fact, it's the only 5 Diamond spa in Ohio. At SpaWalden, you receive your own private suite for your services, with a Kohler hot tub and steam shower, luxurious day bed and yummy snacks to enjoy before and after your treatment.

Road trip anyone?

Collecting Pop Tabs is Cool

In honor of the thousands of "pop" tabs I collected in grade school (ok, maybe it was high school too) for a friend's school (we were going for a million), I must share this adorable Can Tab Necklace from Alex + Chloe.

Did you know that since 1987, more than 400 million pop tabs have been collected, generating more than $4 million for Ronald McDonald House Charities?

Find Your Signature Color

Dolled up in my new coat and favorite purse of the season, a good friend recently told me my signature color must be beige, because I'm constantly drawn to anything neutral (some might say dull). I decided to put that theory to the test using the appropriately named, "What's Your Signature Color" test on Tickle.com and it turns out, my color is Champagne. I'll take it - especially with a description like this!

A sophisticated soul like you is best matched with a classic color that's always tastefully chic. That's why Champagne is your perfect pairing. You're probably known for your impeccable taste in everything from clothes to music to restaurants. So here's to you, Champagne. Cheers!

Have a Green Holiday

It seems everything is going green this year and with this heighten way of thinking comes creativity from the best in class. The holiday windows at Barney's are no exception, where you'll find Rudolph the Recycling Reindeer, a display designed by Creative Director Simon Doonan that’s made entirely out of recycled cans.
